#WPLDN – Delivering WordPress-Focused Events In London
#WPLDN is a monthly meetup for web professionals or end users who interact with WordPress. The event is free, inclusive, and open to the public. The event is held on the last Thursday of each month.
The format usually features two to three speakers. Talks can cover design, development, accessibility, content production, SEO, security, eCommerce, and many other WordPress-focused subjects, so we recommend you check the listings. You can also join our open Q&A session and finish the evening with more networking at a local bar.
It’s a great place to share ideas and techniques and meet other members of the WordPress community in London.
When it all started
The first meetup in London focused on the WordPress community was held on 13 August 2008. Keith Devon followed this by running regular monthly events. In 2013, Dan Maby, Graham Armfield, and Ngaire Ackerley joined the organisational team. In 2017, Annabelle Woodger and Gary Jones joined to support the events.
Over the years, #WPLDN has grown into a community of over 3,500 WordPress developers, designers, users, and business owners. We’ve enjoyed hearing hundreds of WordPress community members speak, covering various talk subjects.
Where it’s all going
As the community and popularity of the events have grown, so have the costs. Fortunately, #WPLDN has partnered with some exceptional companies from within the WordPress ecosystem. If you think your company would benefit from coverage at one of our popular events, we’d love to hear from you.
The community is at the heart of London’s largest WordPress-focused Meetup. Given WordPress’s continued growth and ever-changing landscape, we always seek individuals to share their knowledge. If you’re interested, please register to speak today.
